*AI and Data Have Changed the Talent Game. Do You Know the New Rules?*
By Penelope Prett Global Workday Business Group Lead, Accenture
The future of work is uncharted territory.
We’re embarking on a new era that requires innovative approaches, forward‑thinking perspectives, and a growing reliance on technology.
The traditional norms of the workplace have given way to a new world driven by AI, which has the power to augment human skills and intelligence in a transformative way. A paradigm shift is necessary, marking the beginning of an era dominated by a skills-centric workforce, which presents a significant challenge for organizations: managing skills.
As a former CIO, I know that stepping into the unknown may seem daunting, but I assure you that the revolution of the workforce brings not just challenges, but exciting possibilities, too. This complex process, when supported by data and AI, can create a productive future filled with opportunities for sustained success.
I recently had the privilege of joining a conversation with Jim Stratton, chief technology officer at Workday. Together, we peeled back the layers of using data and AI to disrupt old systems and make groundbreaking advancements toward an effective, skills-based workforce. I also shared insights into Accenture’s own transformation journey, and what we did to become a skills-centered organization.
